Why Anonymous Expression Needs Safe Havens

When Whisper launched, it offered an open canvas for secret thoughts. Over time, algorithmic feeds degraded into clickbait and private DMs became magnets for harassment.

Unsaid deliberately avoids private direct messages. Letters are posted to public or campus feeds where community members show support through silent heart reactions. Combined with proactive rate limiting, device fingerprinting, and automatic crisis support routing, Unsaid protects both author and reader.
